Google Analytics Review: A Powerful Tool with Some Limitations

This article is my opinion after my experience with the Google Analytics tool for more than 7 years, and since I believe that I am an expert in using this tool, and the reason I believe this, Is Google has, over the course of 15 years since the time of launching the service on November 14, 2005, Google have added many features to the system and it is still continuing to develop it, and during my time working on this platform, something came to my attention that may be amazing or frightening to some, which is the data that Google collects during a person’s visit to your site, from the site owner’s point of view. It is very amazing, as you can find out:

 •His age group.

Country.

 City.

 District.

 •Date and time of visit.

 •Duration of the visit.

 •Pages he accessed.

•The extension of the pages he accessed (he would access the main site and then go to the Contact Us page, for example).

•Gender (male or female or other)

•Bounce rate (this means how many times this person entered your site and then closed it and returned another day).

•Where did this person come to you from (for example, did he search on Google and find you, or did he come to you from a link on another site).

And so much that it cannot be added in one article, and many may think that I am exaggerating, but Google has made you, as a website owner, know who visits your site and where it comes from, but this platform gives you a lot of data that is useless in the long run, as it is difficult for you to rely on the platform. Google helps develop specific sections on the site. Take, for example, when you want to know whether a specific section appears on the page that the viewer or user does not like. This is not possible using Google services. For your information, despite the tools that Google provides you in this service, it does not have the heatmap feature. Thermal) and the cause is unknown; Google has engineers in all fields and almost all specialties, even the military has specializations in them. The reason is still unknown to me as to why this feature is not provided in Google services.

Why do I still use Google Analytics?

The reason is simple because it is effective in recording everything that happens on your site (it can give you data for free and with excellent features), but just as Google has excellent aspects, Google has recently become a company that sells customer information, and here I express my personal opinion about this company, for example, when you place an add-on. Analytics on your site. All the data that you collect on this platform is viewed by Google directly. The problem is that you, as a user, cannot prove it :) It is really ridiculous, and at the same time, Google knows very well where to go. If it is a company and wants to benefit and provide your services or products on the Internet. Google services need this, and if you decide not to use Google services at all and do not comply with its orders, then you will simply have condemned your company to destruction. In the world of the Internet, of course, there are exceptional cases and every company is different from the other.
